Software requirements

Sharewatch is written in Python. The following components are required:

Python
wxPython
win32 extensions - optional, required for Windows Event logging and installing the ShareWatch server as a Windows Service

Networking requirements

The sharewatch server requires internet access to your provider of share prices. Your sharewatch server may optionally use a http proxy server.

Each of the sharewatch clients requires access to the sharewatch server. Since SOAP is used to communicate between the clients and server, access can be direct, or through a proxy server.
